No. If you would like to come to the camp to drop off your child you are more than welcome to, but we can work with you to arrange pickups from local airports or bus stations. Depending on the numbers from certain areas we may arrange for private coach charters for campers.
Camp staff will be with your child at every activity, they live in the cabins with your child, and they have on-rotation nights of patrolling the camp. The administration is always on-duty to handle any incidents and add a layer of security to the camp property.
Feel free to read about our safety initiatives here.
No. We are a traditional Adirondack camp and want our campers to unplug for the summer. We encourage parents to not send their child to camp with their cell phones, we want our campers to spend time socializing, learning new skills, reading, and reconnecting with nature.
If campers arrive to camp with a cell phone or other electronic devices they will be given to the counselor or administrator to hold onto.
Parents are welcome to call the camp phone number during meal times to speak with their child. We also highly encourage parents to write letters to their child while at camp.
In case of an emergency please call the camp phone number to speak with an administrator.
If you have any concerns about the camp or how your child will do at Camp Regis Applejack please call us at (518) 327-3117, our Directors will be happy to talk over any concerns.
We employ a full time medical professional at Camp to assist in distributing medications during meal times and in case of any medical emergencies. We also have a fully functioning infirmary on site.
If your child needs daily medication, please let us know and send the medication directly to the camp and not in the childs luggage.
